The Sacred Heart Cathedral, one of the four Gothic structures made entirely of in the world, is built of granite, with colorful glass windows and is known as the “Paris of the Far East.” The Nan Yue King Tomb is the Han Dynasty painted stone tomb in Lingnan, unearthing more than a thousand cultural relics, including the “Wen Di Xing Xi” gold seal, showcasing Lingnan style 2,000 years ago. Yuexiu Park combines ancient relics with scenic views. Climbing the Ming Dynasty’shenhai Tower offers a panoramic view of the city, and the Guangzhou Museum inside the tower narrates the changes of Guangzhou. The church suffered major damage during the Anti-Japanese War and the “Cultural Revolution” and then it was repaired many times. After the completion of the third major repair in the autumn of 2006, it was reopened. It is the cat of the Catholic Diocese of Guangzhou and one of the most magnificent Gothic buildings with two spires in China. It is also the largest Catholic building in Southeast Asia. has the reputation of “Paris of the Far East”.
